 | | | | EDITOR AND PUBLISHER OF INTERNATIONAL WINE CELLAR | | Bright, pale yellow. Sexy aromas of tropical fruits, crushed stone and wild herbs. Tactile, dusty and classically dry, with noteworthy intensity but no hardness to the flavors of lemon, flowers and spices. Nicely concentrated, distinctly sauvignon blanc with a chewy finish featuring a lingering flavor of grapefruit pith. This is excellent. 90/100

 | | | | Nettley and rather French, this is a Sauvignon with refinement and a rather cool charm. One of the best if not the best sub-10 pound Cape Sauvignon Blanc out there. It blasted on to my tasting table ages ago, and has been awaiting a high-street listing ever since. Unsurprisingly, Waitrose's buyers have succumbed to Iona's intense, herby, gooseberry and green bean-charged charms, and at this price it's a steal. | | | JANE MACQUITTY The Times | | | | | | Stunning, vibrant white from Elgin is the Cape's best to date. | | | | ROSE MURRAY BROWN, MW | |
